Week 8
Room model with Photoshopped materials
Within this first version of my modelled room, I intended to portray
an eye-level angle the create the effect that the audience is looking into a
physical space.
The second photoshopped version I create was intended to get an Isometric view of the the room, allowing the camera to not only to capture the two external walls but also the internal space as well. The materials I choose were more in line with a suburban house setting utilising materials such as brick, wooden paneling and metal exterias.
Here I tried to recreate a modernist style house through materials
such as reinforced concrete, bamboo paneling and Charcoal coloured
wood.
Reflection:
Through this experience I have strengthened my skills with operating Adobe Photoshop's interface. In particular I have learnt to efficiently use the perspective warp tool to accurately position materials to their desired angle and arrangement. As well I have become more confident in shading object and materials, through familiarising myself with the size, density and opacity settings within the brush tool.
